Villa 26

The monument, created during Luca Boffi’s (Alberonero) artist residency in the Barranca neighborhood, is dedicated to the favela in that area and its residents. Villa 26 is a sculpture that pays homage to the makeshift architecture typical of shantytowns, composed of hollow bricks, welded wire mesh, wood, and fabric; the totem is located in one of the area’s typical small squares.
