Mormorio notturno

"Ten per cent biology and ninety per cent night murmur - C. McCarthy". Landscape as a question mark is a missing landscape. There is no surprise here. The photo series taken by a cctv camera shows nights of a missing camp. The last photograph dates back to 10 April 2021. ‘Mormiorio notturno’ is the winner of “L'Italia é un desiderio” open call on the contemporary landscape by the MUNAF National Museum of Photography, the Alinari Foundation and the General Directorate of Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture. The work presented on 22 November 2023 at the Scuderie del Quirinale is part of the MUFOCO National Museum of Photography.

The work was exhibited as part of “Veggenti. New Visual Explorations of the Italian Landscape,” curated by Matteo Balduzzi
