Mezz’aria is a group exhibition composed of sounds, voices, and other artistic forms with minimal physical presence. The exhibition is housed on the top floor of Palazzo Fabroni and extends to other locations within the museum and throughout the city through a program of live performances. The project, which involves 16 artists, arose from the opportunity to showcase a substance that is rarely visible in a public and widely accessible setting. In Mezz’aria, the constant tension between exteriority and interiority, between openness and intimacy, transcends the conventional exhibition logic of the medium of sound, revealing itself as an existential strategy for engagement and connection. From the windows, the city is clearly visible because it is filtered. Risk and dreams color the summer air with new fears and ambitions.
