GNOLE - Da dove vengo io

"Da dove vengo io appassiscono gli uomini,
non mi importa dei colori, sopra la testa il sole,
non trovo le parole prova a camminare tu"

Born in 2023 from the collaboration between artist Luca Boffi and Daniele Mungai, the GNOLE project is an open-ended form that shifts its themes and configurations in response to the events that shape it from one instance to the next.
The name evokes both wood and the “gnola”: an insistent, repeated lament, an invocation directed at other living beings.

The performance stems from Luca Boffi’s (Alberonero) artistic project “Campo,” in which his human and artistic experience between 2019 and 2021 led the artist to enter into symbiosis with a field of 290 poplar trees, right up until they were cut down. These years found expression in the editorial project *Caro campo*. Diario di lavoro – Workbook (winner of the 11th Edition of the Italian Council, 2022), which observes and documents natural changes through artistic practice and writing.

In this performance, Luca Boffi, Frenetik&Orang3, Studio Cliché and Varsi join forces to create an emotional and poetic journey that unfolds through an intense mosaic of words, sounds, and lights.
